Depends on the design. But the number of beads you need per kandi cuff on this site usually shows right underneath the pattern. I usually buy kandi by the packs of colors I need and store the rest in containers for other projects.

That depends entirely on what kind of kandi you're making, how much you're going to make, what colors you use the most, etc. It's subjective. When I restock, I get between 3000 - 5000 beads so I know I won't run out for a while. If I'm planning on making bigger pieces like epics or bags - I would double or triple that.
