Some of you have had some confusion over how to upload patterns to the site. Here is how:
You upload directly through the kandi pattern maker. After designing your pattern, or starting to design it, go to File > Save. A small window will pop up where you have to give your pattern a title and then set the Pattern Privacy. Set the Privacy to Public if you want your pattern to be visible to others on the site.
Setting your pattern to Public will make your pattern immediately visible on your profile. It will also send the pattern to the Voting Queue where other members will vote on it and moderators will review it. If your pattern receives a high enough percentage of votes, and complies with other rules (in terms of it being a valid, non-duplicate, appropriate, high-quality pattern), a moderator might approve it onto the site.
Patterns which have been approved will appear on the home page, search, and site categories (Characters, Animals, etc). Patterns which are pending and haven't yet been approved will only appear in the voting queue and on your profile. Patterns which have been rejected by a moderator will only appear on your profile. You can view the approval status of your patterns by clicking on Pending Patterns in the User Menu in the sidebar on the left.
If you originally set your pattern to Private when you created it, you can go back and change the privacy setting later on by opening the pattern in the pattern maker and going to File > Edit Details/Privacy. Keep in mind that if it's an older pattern and you set it to Public, it will appear several pages back in the voting queue. It can sometimes be better to duplicate the pattern and THEN set it to Public.
To summarize: you need to *save* your pattern to your account and set it to *public*.
