If you're looking at using fuse beads, I'd suggest using perler beads. There's many other companies that make them as well, like hama beads, but I find that they always have a slightly different melting point, so if you want to keep your projects even, stick with one brand. perler.com has over 60 colors of regular beads, with all sorts of tools available, and they have mini beads and and larger beads. Also, blitsy.com often has sale prices on perler beads, if you're a stickler like me.
