There's two for me. One is a necklace I got in a trade, it's made out of mini pony beads and it has a little robot on it. The other is my Doctor Who single with the two mini hearts on it.

Make sure you pick up one of their flyers/circulars when you walk in. They usually have 50% off coupons, and that'll make a kit of pony beads like $6-7 big grin Check their kids section too, and their dollar bins. They usually have adorable trinkets. I used to work at Joann Fabrics, so I know there are definitely gems in a craft store winking

They're fake My Little Pony toys. They probably don't have names. I like the pink one, though. big grin

Kandi isnt just for raves... Its to bring people together... And frankly if a child is making them then good considering pony beads and perler beads are made specifically for kids. We just adopted it as our own. Whenever i see a little kid i pull a piece off my arm and give it to them in hopes one day they'll know what it is and do the same. Age doesnt matter.

Dont be afraid to randomly walk up to people and ask to trade. 9 times out of 10 they'll be very very happy to trade with you. Like they said, keep yourself hydrated and try to stay away from sodas, "energy" drinks and stuff like that. NEVER drink from anyone else's water bottle. In my experience, it always has something in it. A close friend of mine overdoses last year from a shared drink. I would hate for it to happen to anyone else. Drugs are inevitable. You will be surrounded by them. But more often than not, like Noodle says, they're either bunk or have a dangerous product in them. Never feel like you're forced into drugs. They're meant to enhance the experience, not drain your values. This isn't to give you any incentive to do them. Lastly, never accept free drugs. Sometimes there's a catch or it isn't what they say it is. Most of the people you'll meet aren't the deceptive type, but you can never be too safe at a rave. Finally, I suggest wearing thin clothing. I usually wear shorts and a T-shirt and some leggings. You'll get very sweaty, especially if you're near the DJs. So be prepared! Deoderant is your best friend. And my number one rule-ALWAYS bring two pony tail holders. Sometimes both you AND a friend will need one.

"heyyamomo" anything would be helpful. I'm just trying to make it out of pony beads not fuse beads. i want something that i can make and it be durable. Leelitheunicorn" i did like your advice but my problem is that i'm a stickler for things looking like what they reference when i make them. Meaning that if i make something 99.9 times it has to be like the reference image, if i were to free-hand something as i'll put it i'll need to make my own sketch, since this is a gift for a princess peach freak i want it to look just right, A star crown sounds neat but i'm thinking thats more for Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy Honestly i used 1mm elastic and some fishing line but i don't know if i need a 3rd kind of material a mix or one of the ones i've got because the fishing line is durable but painful and hard to tie, the elastic cord can be flimsy so i really don't know what type i should use

The first kandi tutorial I watched was Oceanne Rose's Pikachu peyote when I was randomly looking for peyote stitch tutorials for seed beads and that was around October-ish. I followed her tutorial with seed beads which was painstakingly harder than working with pony beads. I watched a few more tutorials from her and I stumbled upon CellularMango's tutorials, yours, and a few others. My favorite was Cellular's since they were the easiest for me to follow and I quickly learned other techniques from there. Yours came a close second since I watched both tutorials to make my first mask and some other things. There have been many other tutorials I have learned from, but I cannot remember their youtube names to give them proper credit and thanks.

1. I'd have to say I enjoy making flower cuffs and head bands.

2. Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn, and other craft stores.

3. Whenever I need them. It's sort of like a spontaneous impulse buy situation.

4. I don't know how I feel about the herringbone stitch with pony beads. I have done the stitch with seed beads when I didn't want to loom and I think it looks really cool.

5. It will be a year someday in October close toward Halloween. In general, I have been making jewelry for as long as long as I have been doodling and that's been a while.

Michaels! I just got a pretty big one there, but they weren't in the same isle as the pony beads, look around or ask some one.

I usually turn to the things that I love a lot. I'll buy My Little Pony things and make them into cuffs. Or I make Pierce The Veil patterns since I have no life XD I usually try to challenge myself to try new things too. I think I'm going to try making a disk cuff soon.

you could use mini pony beads, or maybe follow the pattern but reduce the number of beads? you could also wear a normal sized cuff (that would normally be too big on you) on your upper arm instead.

"AllyJacqui": I'm aussie! I normally buy online though, Spotlight never has any quality beads in stock. :c The problem with buying online is that it costs more for the shipping than it does for the beads themselves...unless there's an Australian beading site that sells pony beads that I don't know about.

Reply to thread: can you use yarn?

You can make hemp style braided bracelets with pony beads on them or beaded into them. I wouldn't recommend making anything that needed to stretch with yarn.

professional jewelry places use the stitches all the time to make stuff. do you know how many places i saw selling x-base pearl bracelets. if it's not made with pony beads and not made with the same moral principles as kandi, then it's not kandi
