Opinion on people who are too young to get into raves wearing kandi?

All the events near me are 21+ so I'm too young to get into them but I make and wear kandi a lot. Just curious of your opinions. c:

I can't rave because I'm too young (and I personally aren't interested in raving) I'm sure they're 21+ for a reason because of alcohol and drug use. I know not EVERYONE that raves does that type of thing, but there are still people there who do it. At least when you are old enough to rave, it'll be more worth it. Also, kandi isn't all about raves. You can always find kandi parties to go to until you're old enough to rave.

I personally am still too young to rave but I love and enjoy making kandi. i love the edm culture that has devloped around raving, I wouldnt consider myself to be a raver because well I can't/don't go to raves but are you and i still kandi kids? yeah, you can love kandi and edm at any age in your life. yet you cant go to raves at any age of your life for different reasons. I am willing to wait because i have respect for the people that set rules at raves and trust that they set the age requirements for certain reasons, i dont want to get myself hurt or hurt the people around just because i didnt have the self control to wait

Anyone can make pony bead bracelets. But if you make pony bead bracelets and call it kandi than you have to follow the kandi culture. We have a kind of kandi etiquette if you will. Like not trading stuff that is given specifically to you, etc. Basically guidelines so we don't hurt others feeling. If you don't think you can follow that then I advise not calling it kandi.

Well, if you look on the cases of beads stores sell, they're marked with "childrens' jewelry" not "ravers' jewelry". Make what you want at whatever age. As long as you're not false claiming as a raver, you're fine.

I think that if little kind like it then it's fine. I see no harm in giving my cousins or my friends kids kand. I mean think about it, they are so young and pure, they like things just because it's pretty, or pretty colors

id say if u wanna rave when ur able to then go for it in the future but go because u love edm, not because u make kandi and i know it isnt a popular subject because most "kandi" makers these days are so young but the fact of the matter is its a raver thing. im not gonna say what u make isnt kandi, thats for you to decide but my feeling and alot of loder kandi kids is its not kandi if its not rave. and no its not simply the act of raving itself, its the environment and culture and your participation in it. kandi isnt just about friendship, its a celebration of edm and its culture. its also a way of expressing urself and showing others at a rave your personality, creativity, and style. for me when i see ppl say its only about frienship and plur i die a bit because its so much more than that. if that were what its all about then its just a friendship braclet trading game lol. to say everything beaded is kandi is like saying every form of edm is just trance. theres a difference between kandi, bead craft, friendship braclets and such. but like i said b4 and quite often; do what u love and makes u happy. it isnt for the world to tell u whats right, its for yourself ps folks a kandi kid is a raver despite popular beleif. kandi kids are the uber, awesome ravers, not just a raver or a scene kid ^.^

I'm a non raver myself (I can't go for medical reasons) I personally don't see anything wrong with people who are too young to go to raves who make kandi, you're just not considered a raver.

You're definitely not a "raver"(I really hate this term) until you've been to at least three raves in my opinion. But I guess pretty much anyone can be a kandi kid as long as you follow PLUR. I personally love to rave, but I always label myself as a kandi kid. Kandi and raves are like ying and yang. They can't be without each other. I personally think people who make kandi but say "Raves are stupid" are NOT kandi kids. That doesn't mean you have to rave to be a kandi kid. If you can't, for whatever reason, but still respect the rave scene, you are a kandi kid.
