What Beads Should I Use...?

lunarboi 2/28/2013 12:05 pm 1374

I have a small wrist that can only fit 25-28 pony beads for a cuff. But I've seen a lot of patterns on here that are larger than 25-28 beads and I would LOVE to make them. What kind(s) of beads can I use to make larger patterns?

You can always take away columns on the bracelets. You have to take away two at a time though

i love useing mini pony beads to make cuffs cause i have a small wrist too, so i think you can either use mini pony beads or try to change the pattern a bit by taking away colums so that it fits us better

you could use mini pony beads, or maybe follow the pattern but reduce the number of beads? you could also wear a normal sized cuff (that would normally be too big on you) on your upper arm instead.

mini poney beads work great. You could also just use them as upper arm cuffs where your arms get thicker, I've been needing to use bigger patterns because I have too many pieces for my forearms.

Well for some patterns you can just cut off columns using this method: http://kandipatterns.com/kandi-help/kandifaq/111-do-all-of-your-cuffs-have-to-be-34-i-have-a-small-wrist-and-was-wondering-how-you-would-modify-it-to-be-smaller- For the ones where you can't cut off enough columns, you could use mini pony beads. That's what they're called: mini pony beads.
