Disclaimer!!: Everyone's allowed 2 have headcannons, but this is just a thread to perhaps mention ones u just don't really feel fit the character

r there any headcannons u see in ur fandom that r popular yet u just don't really like, that either tick u off majorly or a lot?

I'll go first, I'm in the COD fandom, and I see a lot of fanart of Ghost with blonde hair, I don't really care about his eyes cuz OG Ghost does have blue eyes I think, even if the MWII reboot has brown eyes, idc, but i hate that because he has blonde lashes and eyebrows, some folx draw him with blonde hair too ;-; like, if some of the COD fandom is creepy to the actors of the characters, surely they've seen Samuel Roukin (His actor) and how he has darker hair on his head ofc I know not everyone knows every detail about COD and I'm just an autistic thing whos watched the whole campaign plot several times and absorbed the plot to where I can recite it with ease, but I just don't like Ghost's depiction w/ blonde hair ;-;

tl;dr: I'm not fond of people depicting Simon "Ghost" Riley w/ blonde hair

ok so jj abrams made his headcanon canon in aos and i dont like it and a LOT of trekkies dont. the thing he did that angered so many trekkies including myself was that in aos he made spock and uhura a couple. WHYYYYY????!!!! he made uhura (an amazing character and total icon) just basically spocks gf. i hate it sm and it sucks so badddddd dont get me wrong i LOVE the AOS movies theyre what got me into star trek but still. uhura is so much more than spocks gf. also i ship spirk but whatever.

@Strawberry_BroStrider: yeahno, in any fandom where people STICK to the idea that only their headcannon is true and force it upon others is kinda icky, like, they can disagree silently or be non aggressive about it

oh also- mlp!! i dislike people who say that rainbow and aj's cutie marks should be reversed. i think in the show the way they wrote them is a little confusing, but i think this tumblr post explained it pretty well. rainbow isn't just "honest", she speaks without thinking, and while aj is very loyal to her friends and family the majority of episodes focused on her are about her honesty and not about her loyalty. like, in the leap of faith which is one of my favorite episodes cuz i love flim and flam, aj has to choose between being honest about the fact that the cider is a placebo or let her granny keep taking the cider thinking it's helping and enabling her to do dangerous things. or in the super speedy cider squeezy 600 (another flim and flam episode) where she's committed to being honest and following the rules of the competition with flim and flam even though the stakes were pretty unfair. rainbow's episodes are also mostly focused around her loyalty or challenging her loyalty (like in griffon the brush off or literally any episode about daring do).

i think people who spread this headcanon dont really think too deeply about how the two's cutie marks do suit them, and are instead focusing too much on what could've been, if that makes sense? i think it's pretty clear that the intent was for aj to be honest and rainbow to be loyal, even though they both display both traits. i will admit, i think honesty and loyalty go hand in hand in a lot of ways which could especially lead to the confusion around aj's character, in my view at least. no wonder they're gay and in love

tbh in the homestuck fandom i just hate people who are like "ERIDAN is NOT GENDERFLUID, JOHN is NOT TRANS, the TROLLS are CONFIRMED to be COMPLETELY HUMANOID, VRISKA is NOT DYSPRAXIC, the STRIDERS are WHITE and SO ARE THE REST OF THE CHARACTERS" basically just discounting every single headcanon in existence that isn't either 100% confirmed to actually be canon or would 100% conform to canon. like, do ya'll even know how to have fun ever? looking at the reddit homestuck community especially like it's filled with uptight weirdos with no imagination (as is the rest of reddit).

let me have my genderfuckery funky humanstuck designs funky troll biology headcanons everyone's queer everyone's "abnormal" in some way plus sized non-white muscular hairy characters ok??? it ain't hurting you!!!

also fun fact vriska is indeed dyspraxic in pesterquest and as a dyspraxic person i find that very cool

@robbiepie: I dont think thats what they were trying to imply- XD.. but your right, some people do headcanon characters for there euphoria, I don't, but I know some people do. But sometimes when people do that, It doesn't go along with the lore or characters backstory, so its sometimes weird to headcanon characters a certain way lol

@xX_UnWorthy_Xx: i havent interacted with the sanders sides fandom in a while but i personally think orange is just going to be the opposite of logan but still be his own character because like... orange is the complimentary color to blue and roman and remus are opposites and are red and green so i think who is opposite to who corresponds to color theory if that makes sense lol, also i think that one scene where logan got angry and his eyes turned orange wasnt bc he is orange but because orange was like doing something from the side lines and made him angry.

i like the headcanon of janus being the shortest though because theres a german saying that lies have short legs.

also this isnt really a headcanon thing but more of a pet peeve, once i called the dark sides.... well the dark sides and somebody was like "NOOOOOOO THEYRE NOT EVILLLLLLLL!!!!! DONT CALL THEM THAT!!" when i fr dont care about the name whether theyre evil or not.

@Glitchy_XDD: I get why you would hate it but in MY OPINON there is one context where I think it's good. I like it in the fandom, not in the actual canon media. They REALISTICALY would not work, I know that. But, I like seeing Bakugou grow and learn he actually liked Deku and was just in denial because he had never really realized that that's what it felt like. ONE MORE TIME, REALISTICALY IT DOESN'T WORK BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I CAN'T LIKE IT. I feel like a lot of people have that for different things. Like I like Michael Afton being a trans guy IN THE FANDOM because I know it really doesn't work realistically but I just like the vibes that trans teen Michael has in the fandom.

(edit) Just want to clarify that I'm not trying to be hostile I'm just trying to make sure you know the context of my opinion.

@Glitchy_XDD: yes yes yes yes again, it really peeves me off being in the COD fandom, characters who are literal soldiers are constantly cinnamon roll-ified, like, I'm fine if it's one off and somewhat (especially as someone like me, with MaDD), but like, CMON, make it make sense
