the senates main forcus for september will be on government funding and confirming Bidens nominees, tulane major policy legislation, senate majority leader Chuck Schumer outlined priorities for the year today including: drug cost reduction, rail safety, disator relief and AI legislation currently, there is no explicit mention of KOSA as of today. however, co-sponsor Marsha Blackburn recently her controversial comments may lead to delays as more legislators scruminized potentially impacting the bills progress

a student coalition formed, design it for us, an advocacy group, which empowers young voices and online safety discussions. well, these teen advocates are making an impact, metting with policy makers, getting support from influential figures, and even influencing significant legislation while they face challenges in being taken seriously because of their age, they have met with leaders testified before the senate judiciary commitee and are shaping online safety disscusions. Additionally these youth activists are leading efforts in washington, advocating for bills, like the children and teens online privacy act and pushing for changes in the KOSA bill. their goal really is to enhance online safety but while preserving the positive aspect of the digiatal world. kids are making their voices heard and advocating effectivly.

a state representative warrants that KOSA threatens lgbtq+ and transgender youth, if KOSA becomes law, she says it will limit access to vital resources, create a hostile online environment and censor essential content for lgbtq+ members, increasing to their vulnerability and cyber bullying and discrimination. KOSA's concerning aspect is it grants state attorneys general, some anti lgbtq views power to regulate online content harmful to children and to protect the lgbtq+ community KOSA must include explicit safeguards or be opposed entirely she says.
