Keep tightening when making an x-base cuff [or anything] it'll hold together much better!! Kandi leaves little marks, take it off every once in a while if you wear a lot regualrly [sorry if that makes no sense]

buy those big tubs of bead soup! With all the little shapes n stuff. I found it’s really helpful when trying to come up with ideas. I’ll scoop up ~2tbsp ish and try to make things off of that!

Also, random short phrases and quotes are really fun if you wanna bulk up your collection, and I always bring some along whenever I go out, incase I make a friend ^^ it lets me bond even more w someone I just met, and I can teach them PLUR!!!

make sure to not stretch your cuffs, put cuffs on by gently sliding them onto your wrists.

About a year ago my brother (who's like 24 and knows nothing abt kandi) tried to put on one of my cuffs, but because it was too small for his hands he stretched it so much to get it on his wrist that it literally snapped and beads went everywhere.

but also because if you stretch your cuffs, the string (if you're even using elastic string) will get all loose and the beads will be all wonky and loose, tbhtbh

Dont use stretch magic or anything under .8mm in clear cords/elastics! They break apart way quicker and the weight will make them droop!

Dont spend a lot of money on lots of different kinds of beads when you start, get a small kit and work your way up!

Mixes of colors are AWFUL to sort through, and you might not have enough of one color in that bag for a project. I personally would never recommend using them.

Edit: I forgot to mention needles! Yarn needles and large gauge upholstery needles are life savers! I use a 6 gauge one kinda like this for basically everything now! You can get them at Walmart luckily enough if your in the states :33

Edit2: Use fishing line for large stiff projects like bags! It holds it shape wayy better! (I think thats everything....)

@oldsagebrush: big charms shouldn't be too tight, either, because they need to be able to move along with your cuff.
