at my school they banned afabs from wearing any clothes that showed your shoulders bc itd "distract the boys" -- but only teachers would claim distraction when it happened always felt so icky that it was Just The Crusty Old Men who would say they were distracted. they also had a ban on bracelets and "overdone" makeup but it was never enforced lol. also they disabled the chrome dinosaur game on EVERY chromebook

and thats not even getting into the things that were banned over at the academy (like jail but for high schoolers with bad credit and/or court orders)

lol, two years ago a friend and i asked if we could wear our fursuits on campus and give out candy canes around halloween. they told us we weren't allowed.

in 4th grade they banned silly bands, kooky pens, and squinkies :,( at some point at another school they banned bottle flipping lol

we cant change our wallpaper on our chromebook, but knowing some of the people i go to school with it's definitely understandable :/

we can also change our google background only once??? so now mine is just forever permanently a gif of that crying cartoon duck (from the meme where it has ultra nightcored as the world caves in playing in the background)

also for a few weeks wikipedia was blocked, but i pointed it out to a higher up in the it department (im kinda sorta but not really a part of my school's it department) and it turned out it was a mistake. so we have that back now at least.

we're not allowed to change our pfps in my school. they turned off the function. its really boring now tbh

not my school but this daycare I went to as a kid banned Pokemon cards once bc some kids would want to trade back and the other kid would be like "nah" soo yeah
