Messages from strangers

Just a reminder that you should never receive any messages from strangers on here which say anything like the below:

- Let's date
- Let's be more than friends
- Send me photos of yourself
- You have a nice body

This is predatory. This can be grooming. This isn't a dating site and strangers should never be trying to date you on here. You don't know who you are talking to. We once had a man in his mid-late 20s who was pretending to be 18.

These people are really good at making you feel loved and special - but I guarantee that most of them are doing the same thing to 10 other people. They are taking advantage of you.

If you want to date, do it in real life. Do it at school, or the mall, or concerts, or interest-based clubs. If you absolutely MUST meet people online, at least do it on a proper dating site or app which has more stringent safety measures and age restrictions in place. A bead website is not the place for this type of activity.

If you get a message from someone you don't know which strikes you as strange or seems like they are flirting with you, please report the message to moderators by clicking the "Report" link on the bottom right of the offending message.

I am bringing this up because we recently had someone who was doing this to lots of different people. Peanut flagged them up. Many thanks to Peanut.

I am monitoring what I can. I am going to be checking in regularly. Block people if you are not sure and you do not already have an established friendship and someone messages you about being their partner or anything.
