@moonbowNat: Lol I thought 8th was going to be scary, it really isn’t that bad just makes sure that you hang out with right people tho, also make sure that you don’t try to pull all nighters, it’s not very healthy and it’s really stressful, try to do as much as you can for one day and do the same for the next :

I'm heading Into my last year of high school! so I have a few tips. (note- I have been home-schooled since the beginning of middle school so akdghasj take my advice with a grain of salt)

I personally am struggling with really bad mental health at the moment- or more or so throughout all of high school so my tips may not be very helpful because I don't know If you have had that same experience. but anyways! don't let schoolwork pile up. every high school year I had over 50+ overdue lessons that I could never catch up on and did within a span of two days which was really bad for my health. for 11th grade I had over 190+ overdue lessons that I did within a week or two and that just overall sucked. so make sure to try and stay on top of it.

make sure to take care of yourself! take mental health breaks and days and make sure you are keeping yourself feeling happy, etc. I never did- and I regret that entirely because I felt so overworked and stressed. it's really important to not overwork yourself- and to be able to have some free time. <3

I can't help with the socializing part- but please reach out for help when you need it ! I never did either- and I really should have because they would've helped in the long run!

anyways- happy birthday and i wish you luck for going into high school !!

The fact that you think fourteen is old makes me feel like I need to go drink my prune juice and eat Werther's Originals crying /lh

Please don't be afraid to reach out to help!! Visit your teachers' office hours if you need some material to be re-explained! Take all the tutoring offered to you! If you're given a guidance counselor, go see them every once in a while! Even if you don't need their help per se, it's good to establish a connection with them for when it comes time to think about college if you're planning on going! [but also please don't stress about college, you really don't have to think about it until junior year]

You're gonna be really awkward socially at first, but trust me that literally everyone else will be just as awkward too. Make small talk! Compliment them! Be brave and sit next to people at lunch! Join a club! That one's pretty important, not just for making friends but also making your experience more fun by joining clubs about the stuff you enjoy!

Take sick days! Take mental health days! It doesn't matter if you fail a test or two or five! Your health is absolutely paramount and don't let any pressuring teachers make you think otherwise!!!!!

happy birthday! as someone who just graduated high school, i think you’ll do fine! the only thing (mostly) that got progressively difficult for me was the school work. my experience was the same as middle school, but everyone seems to become more mature (this was the case for my grade and i hope it’s the case for yours). it’s ok to be nervous and scared bc i was TERRIFIED going into high school, but rlly the only advice i can give to u is plz do ur homework. i almost didn’t graduate bc i didn’t do homework lol. also, keep a copy of ur schedule with room numbers with u at all times just in case

i cant help with social situations much bc i’m naturally awful when it comes to irl social stuff, but try not to be super afraid of meeting new people! clubs and electives are perfect classes for meeting new friends, all of the friends i have now i met in clubs (art club lol) and extra curricular classes!!

to each their own with this opinion! But, dont worry about relationships! you just need to focus on finding yourself and having fun. I got in a relationship my first year of highschool, i was confused with my feelings at the time. I didnt need to extra stress of a relationship. Just focus on yourself. Take mental health days! They are seriously needed! I cant tell you how much they helped me. Actually take notes if possible, it helped me! Also, try to avoid all-nighters! I hope this helps, i send good vibes your way! <3
