For a diagnal stripe, does it matter the amount of columns you use to make the stripes "perfect"?

I have made stripes with a latter before and I know it's not the same, but because of the size of my wrist, I had to stop the pattern to finish and the stripes weren't perfect. it was almost as if a zig zag, etc was going to form. to finish the row, I would have needed 3 or 4 more columns. But if I did that the bracelet would have been way too big. Is there a certain amount of colors/rows that need to have the stripes perfect with each other so the stripe doesnt get cut off and it fits my wrist (like using __ amount of colors; ex. if 4 colors would work; so i would make a number of rows that are divisible by 4 etc.) THANK YOU! 4.gif

Well for a rainbow it would have to be: 28: http://kandipatterns.com/patterns/misc/rainbow-deadmau5-28-1634 or 42: http://kandipatterns.com/patterns/misc/rainbow-deadmau5-42-1633

Yes. <-that is the short answer. You need to have the lines match up otherwise your stripes will not match up. This is why whenever making a striped cuff I draft it so that I know how much I need to make it work. This is also why the deadmau5 striped pattern on her has two such drastically different sized patterns since they need to be that way for the stripes to work
