how did all of you learn what kandi was?

personally i learned about kandi maybe two months ago, i have been doing perler beads for a while, so i looked up patterns, then i came accross this website, so i looked around and searched up what a bunch of things were (like kandi cuffs, ties, mask etc.), thats how i learned!

this is kind of embarrassing but when i went to the eras tour i was rlly hyperfixated on making friendship bracelets with pony beads and that’s basically how i found out about kandi

i first found out abt kandi in 2020 when it was rlly popular but didnt start making it bc i thought looked too hard. i started making it l8r in 2022 bc i got reinspired

in 2020 when stylized cosplays were really popular and everyone wore hella kandi, and i was like "no way thats kinda cool" and the rest is history

I learned what it was way back when I was about 6 or 7, my older sister was a scene kid so she taught me about plur and all different kinds of stuff when I was little then when I started getting more into alternative fashion she gave me all her old bead cases with a bunch of beads!

back around 2019 i was really into furby tumblr and a lot of people make necklaces for their furbies with their names on it and i wanted to make mine one, i found out it was called kandi when i found hazelmuffin's and ginger cand-e's youtube channels

I only knew about singles but then I found a tutorial for how to make a Minecraft creeper multi-stitch cuff, I looked for different patterns and the rest is history
