Why don't ppl like scenecore? /gen

So like I know the difference between scene and scenecore and I consider my aesthetic to be more scenecore-leaning. I understand that some scenecore ppl/things are toxic but thats true in any group, yk?

its like a watered down version of scene & is almost entirely different, most scene kids (me included) just dont like how the aesthetic took the scene name and most of them calling themselves modern day scene because its just not scene (not trying to be rude im sorry if this was lol)

honestly idk. kinda reminds me of when some emo kids didn't like scene kids in the 2000s because they felt like they were ripping them off. in the end, it doesn't really matter. dress how u want!

Scene is more 2000's type, the dyed hair with the "coon tail" dye thing or "coon tail" extensions, rawr xd, pokemon & sanrio. yk?

Scenecore, however, is basically if a rainbow and flashing lights threw up on an emo. Monster energy, neon colors, glitchy stuff, crap ton of kandi, basically emo's more neurodivergent cousin

bcs people hate everything that teenagers like. there's nothing actually wrong with it other than a bad reputation thanks to tiktok, which really more has to do with the fact that apps like tiktok are literally designed to bring out the worst in people. enjoy whatever tf you want and don't feel bad about it that's my mantra
