hi we just realized that the chicken joke is that he dies when he crosses the road. what are some jokes you never understood for a while?

not jokes, but i don't understand most slang. i somehow didn't know what "mid" meant for like an entire year of people saying "mid" because every time someone would try to explain it to me they would do it in the most roundabout way possible instead of just being like "mid = middle = not good enough to be good but not bad enough to be bad = it's another way of saying 'eh'"

the road work ahead uh yeah i sure hope it does vine. I was really confused until I finally understood what it meant was in 2020 (the first time I saw the vine was sometime in 2017)
