i can read typing quirks just fine even the crazy insane ones but its just kinda annoying tbh it takes me a couple seconds sometimes

seriously. my boyfriend was once kicked from a server for being "ableist to systems" (he is a diagnosed system by the way. and so am i.) because he said that people with typing quirks need to translate them because he is BLIND. he relies on a screen reader and could not participate because he is BLIND. and these people told him he is ABLEIST because they "cant type without their quirks" and that their alters "feel PHYSICAL PAIN" when they dont use their typing quirk. they expected him to ask for a translation for every single message HIMSELF from a third party translator instead of simply translating their stupid shit themselves. peoples stupidity and tone deafness amazes me sometimes. imagine calling a blind man ableist because you want to type like a homestuck character.

@KENNAKILLZ: period-- like the least these people can do is ask if you need a translation or something like Jesus Christ. It's pretty much basic respect to be like "hey I do something that some people find annoying/ literally can't understand would you like me to make it understandable?". Why can we do the tone tags but not the translation? It's literally the same premise.

LITERALLY. i can understand if systems need to wait for another alter to translate but if i non-system just goes of typing l1k3 th!s (like this) its rediculous
