attaching charms to beads?

Clownjuice 12/30/2021 01:14 pm 1177

i have a few toys/charms i wish to attach to beads, because they arent already beaded. i usually use hot glue for plastic items ( i sew on beads for fabric items), but im afraid the hot glue will not stand the test of time, so i was wondering if anyone knew of a better solution? ( i do sand-down the plastic bits i can but some i cant sand down some of my newer charms bc they are dragons and the wings are in the way) any help would be appriciated

I use a lighter to heat a needle then use a screw in thing that has a O hook at the end. If im putting it on a 3d cuff i just kinda tie it to the cuff

@mold: i do not have the material unfortunatly, the little toys im wishing to turn into beads are just random little dragons i got for christmas. but thx, i totally forgot that i could use super glue in the first place to attach stuff like eyelets and the like

What material? Do you have any idea on what type of plastic the toys use?
A threaded eyelet could be put into the toy and then super glued in place.
If it has a flat base, you could super glue it to another pendant (these are arriving from beadtin, i'm excited to glue to them https://www.beadtin.com/products/jelly-mix-sparkle...)

you could try a small drill or a heated up needle to make holes to put the string through maybe? Be careful if you do that though of course
