Any queer book recs?

I read “exquisite corpse” a while ago and absolutely loved it but I haven’t been able to find anything similar. Generally it’s been hard to find more mature queer books, so if anyone knows of any good ones I’d love to read more :->

i've heard The Out Side is good, especially for nonbinary folks! and i recently found out about a super super old book about a trans woman called Man Into Woman and her name is Lili and she's also possibly intersex, and it's just really interesting to see someone who transitioned and what her process was like from back then! i'm currently reading it on lilielbe.org owo

Picture of dorian gray is a classic if you like older literature. It's about a queer man in victorian england, and his struggle with his sexuality and aging

Interview with a vampire is another classic. While not "explicitly" gay...everyone that has ever read it agrees it's gay

Murciélago if you don't mind reading manga. Very explicit (both gore and nsfw), it's about a lesbian serial killer that becomes a detective for the government to kill bad guys

The welcome to nightvale books are pretty fun, but are more comedic surrealism instead of just constant horror (also based on a podcast, so most of the books are just transcripts of the episodes). It's about a desert town in the middle of nowhere where weird stuff happens, with the MC being a radio host that grew up in the town. He fell in love with a scientist that arrived, and tries to win him over while the scientists just has constant culture shocks.

Night of the Living Queers is a horror anthology. I've read some of the stories (dnf the whole book), not my favorite but good if you just want some modern horror but gay

House of Hunger is one that I haven't read yet, but am really excited to! It appears to be a vampire novel but with lesbians

The most recent queer horror I've read was a short comic called One Million Tiny Fires. It's about a queer couple moving into the country site, and their relationship slowly crumbling. It's really good, if pretty short

Most of these aren't hugely mature, but stuff I've read this year and didn't throw across the room:

Gender Queer: A Memoir

They Both Die At The End

The Queer Principles of Kitt Webb

Camp Damascus

The Guncle
