something ive been seeing alot on the site [and on internet in general]??

probably going to get bashed for this so bad, but please bear with me <333 i dont mean to be rude, its just an observation and im genuinely curious as to like why ppl do this?

theres just a lot of like.. unnecessary arguing between people who like a certain thing/are a certain way and ppl who disagree. some things i can agree with, like not using trigger/content warnings for every little thing, limiting necroposting, or providing translations when it comes to typing quirks.

but theres just some ppl here [and this is probably the internet in general loll] that just cant seem to let some smaller things slide, such as people liking certain shows, music, etc. and then people who cant stand people from a certain subculture, people with different gender identities or ppl with certain mental ailments.

i dont get whats so hard in just respecting that people are different from you?? as long as its not hurting you and its not hurting others, just because someone is different doesnt mean u should immediately jump and attack them for liking something harmless or shame them for things they cannot change about themselves :C

@Grus_Minnion: yeah, it's in our nature to fight. That doesn't mean it's right tho. I feel like you can hate on something just omg keep it between you and MAYBE close friends. No point in living life like a little hate

i get humans hate, even bicker. It's in our nature but I don't see why it's the end of the world if you just keep hateful opinions to yourself? I'm gonna be honest, I hate alot of stuff people like and I think it's stupid. But I never say it out loud because I know it's not hurting anyone and just because it annoys me doesn't mean I have to be mean to those who like it? I feel like everyone on the internet has forgotten the golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated ffs

@rotpunks: @Ghostlyy: this is so true , as someone who still listens to wilburs music because it has gotten me through tough times , its like what am i supposed to do ? i still watch some creators of dsmp like ranboo and wilbur when i get upset because of nostalgia and comfort . and these DNI things just make me feel attacked just for being comforted by a streamer . and we also have a few dsmp alters in our system , theyre afraid to even interact with people on the site due to this . sorry for the little rant there , just needed to get that out somewhere .

@rotpunks: this is so real heavy an the dreamsmp shit cuz like bro the smp ending like 2 years ago... like and then as a person who used to enjoy dreamsmp most of the creators that were an that minecraft server werent even bad/problematic ppl just like to dig up dirt an other ppl for example wilbur etc etc

the funniest thing is the number of people ive seen on this site claiming to be super inclusive and then having their dni be "people who like dream smp". now, i am not a dream smp enjoyer, but its really silly to say that being a fan of something is DNI CRITERIA. i remember when dnis were just "dont talk to me if youre a jerk" :/

THANK YOU FOR BEING THE FIRST PERSON TO FINALLY SAY SOMETHING.

i've noticed it a lot too and it genuinely annoys me so much. this website is a comfort site for so many people (me included) and the needless arguing really screws with the vibe.
