is making a white character black or any race character other than black bad? I just wanna know

@ZoombiipAwz07: yes i definetly agree blackwashing a character from another race would be AWFUL i say this as a latino. I also think that being upset someone blackwashes a WHITE character is stupid and lowkey internalized racism. Theres nothing being erased, as white people will NEVER lack representation

@robbiepie: no we are not… I just don’t know about this. I just posted this thread to see everyone’s opinion. Just because people have different opinions about this this don’t mean they are racist and I don’t think anyone here is. My opinion is not racist. Say example I agree that POC people/characters should be represented though taking an ethnicit from a character that is white, Hispanic, or Asian would be kinda bad, and even more bad for Hispanics and Asians that they aren’t very represented as well.

I think both whitewashing and blackwashing is bad, I just dont change characters because that's just what they are, I don't think you should change characters justz for representation, But I cant say much because I'm not a person of color

I also think it would be a good idea if some day people are inspired because there's not that much good representation of something, Is to make your own thing! It could possibly be a show, or movie, maybe even a book! But that's just what i thinkz/gen

Coming from someone who is NOT of color my opinion doesn't matter but I think if it feels like there's a reason for it besides being "progressive" or trying to make people mad then its a good thing. There needs to be heart behind the decision.
