The term Femboy was originally targetted towards men. Obviously at some point or another, trans women got thrown into the mix however it was originally to degrade men who acted more femininely/flamboyantly. Feminine men (like myself) can reclaim this word and refer to ourselves as it - even though it's not a slur - as it was made to degrade us. You also proceed to compare it to a slur (which it is not) yet still say it (censoring doesn't change anything but that's a different take).

The point about adult websites is a ridiculous point. "Gay" is used a lot in adult websites to demean, should we stop using the word? "Feminine" is used in adult websites to demean (for those type of k1nks), should we stop using the word? The answer is no, why is femboy any different?

Also it's "rosboy", not roseboy which is just embarrassing to say the least.

This is a topic for trans women to take (and transfems), not for a trans guy like you. Even if you are a feminine trans guy (like myself), we can't dictate the use of a word for "saving the trans women!1!1!!!" when we are not trans women or transfems. Again, my opinion is lesser to trans women's and transfems' however as a femboy, this bugged me a lot.

None of this is in an irritated or aggressive way, - Newt Scamander

@13Killz: ikr its kinda frustrating to see (not trans myself) but seeing this made my slightly upset bc its not historically accurate and not conserderate of trans women and people who identify and use the term, sorry for the rant lol

This is not historically accurate.

"Femboy" started as early as the 1990s as a derogatory term towards men who crossdressed, acted feminine, or otherwise wasn't enough of a Manly Man™ for the masses. Of course, there were definitely trans women lumped in, but the target was men and if a trans woman was called this, it was because the offending party didn't respect them as the women they were.

[Its use in NSFW sites did not become widespread until 2013.]

Of course, you should never call someone by something they haven't told you they're okay with. But you also shouldn't tell people they can't call themselves something they did tell you they use, and you shouldn't word this post as if feminine men who reclaim it are stealing the term—it started with them.
