I'm thinking about making a backpack or a bag, fairly small, how many beads tall and wide should I make it? any tips? good tutorials? Share your pictures of ones you made or inspirations! 4.gif8.gif

I'd try GingerCandE's new tutorial. She has so many tips and tricks in there.

"SycoSquirl": Depends on the use of it. I made a hello kitty back pack a while back, the head is big enough to be a wide clutch, dont know how tall it is or whatever but i dount suggest to just do it by pannels if your not sure so you make it as tall and wide as you think you might want it then make the other pannels like the orginal (except the sides those should be more narrow obiously)the first bag i didnt make the second is my hello kitty I think just the head of the hellokitty would be a good size for me, what are the dimensions?

Depends what you want that pattern to be...you can look up patterns and if you find one you think would be a good size for a bag then make it...But it does depend on the kind of size you want. Personally I think 50 wide x 30 tall is a good size for a start. If it's your first bag I suggest making a simple 2 panel bag just to get the hang of it. GingerCandE has some good tutorials on making a bag if you look her up on Youtube. I hope I helped.

It all depends on your definition of small. I made a bag with two 50x50 bead panels and it might have been a little too big. I highly suggest playing with the pattern maker with different bead heights and widths. The bag I made used 5000+ beads. Try 30 beads wide by 20 or 25 beads tall?
