Oh yeah and I noticed if you go to the above tabs and look in the drop-down menu for "Kandi Tutorials", there's a specific one for kandi masks that you can use that has resources/guides/tutorials/ by four different people.

Since I haven't made anything larger than multi cuffs yet, I want to make some big things, like masks, posters, and a backpack

I'm at the same place you are. I'm going to try to make a masquerade mask next, maybe you should try to make a tie, or a choker, or a headband. Those seem like great next steps. happy

I go to a fairly small school, so when strangers bump into me, they're like, "You're the bead girl!" (Like ixlikextrainsxkid said xD). It's kinda nice to be known for something, especially while being a freshman, even if it brings some negative feedback. I've met a few people that think I'm a freak for wearing so much, but the majority of people like my kandi, and then there is that little group that doesn't care, they like me for me~ I'm singled out for it sometimes, but that doesn't bug me. My drama teacher actually knew me as the bead girl before he knew my name XD And my art teacher bought me two huge jars of beads~ My friends love my kandi, and the principal and vice don't care, as long as it's not distracting to learning. They even let me wear one of my kandi masks on the fifth of November~ Like trains said, there were a few people who tried making kandi after I showed up. My friend started making "kandi", yet he hates raves and all EDM music except for Skrillex and deadmau5. And he knows absolutely squat about the kandi scene, PLUR or the rave scene. Overall, I got a pretty good response to my kandi for where I live. I'll be moving this year, so that means a new school. I just hope the change isn't too much, y'know? School-wise.

The first kandi tutorial I watched was Oceanne Rose's Pikachu peyote when I was randomly looking for peyote stitch tutorials for seed beads and that was around October-ish. I followed her tutorial with seed beads which was painstakingly harder than working with pony beads. I watched a few more tutorials from her and I stumbled upon CellularMango's tutorials, yours, and a few others. My favorite was Cellular's since they were the easiest for me to follow and I quickly learned other techniques from there. Yours came a close second since I watched both tutorials to make my first mask and some other things. There have been many other tutorials I have learned from, but I cannot remember their youtube names to give them proper credit and thanks.

Make the main part of your mask first then once you've done tie it off and cut off the excess string.By the looks of it I'd say its not sitting up by itself its how it will sit when its being worn so maybe try peyote? then attach it and see how it looks. This is only a guess but i hope it helps happy P.L.U.R

If you're trying to melt a large piece in parts look up the "Masking Tape Method" You basically use the tape to pick up what you've already done from the board and move it over or take it off completely. You should also use this method to take your pieces off the pegboard when you iron them to avoid melting the pegs over time and ruining your boards. c: I find that re-ironing already melted beads never looks quite as good as doing this, and leads to a lot more headaches. Hope this helps!

Well, I used Stretch Magic for my first mask and it's still fine. I don't see why fishing line wouldn't do just as good either though.
