Kandi and School

I Started wearing kandi to school (where i have to wear uniforms) and so far the teachers are cool with it, but the kids want me to SELL them my cuffs, and other kids just think its stupid. How do the kids at your school react to your kandi?

I've gotten a few people into making kandi. Most people either love it or hate it. My friends support it. When I wore a kandi beanie and kandikini (with a shirt under it) to school none of the teachers said anything about it.

The sad thing is, I broke the rule of Jewlery at my school. I used to wear Kandi up to my elbows and cover my neck in colours, but the teachers were all like: "LOL NO, GET THAT OFF." I litterally cried. I still wear it, f*ck the world. I like giving it away and making friends. big grin <3

I wear my kandi to school all the time there's never any problem.Sometimes i let people wear them(some get broken)But for the most part you have to try something before you think people are going to judge you.In most cases they will but you have to keep calm and be you. ^-^

At my school, I'd wear necklaces, and I'd even wear basic cuffs that people had given me at raves. I'd literally have people all over me, trying to trade me random things for Kandi (Heck, I had somebody give me a 4 pack of Redbull for one of my cuffs) I find that depending on how brave you are, the more you wear, and the more different that you are willing to be, the more likely it is that you'll get others to come out of their shell as well. I was scared as hell to wear my Kandi for the first time, but I did it. Now I literally have enough Kandi to cover me from head to toe. Go for it! Don't necessarily sell it for money, but you could ask for trades back. Like "You buy me lunch today, and I'll be sure to give you this cuff you've wanted." Or just keep with the Kandi trading. Make people learn how to make it themselves, hand out little cards with links to youtube channels that have tutorials. Maybe even bring your beads to school with you every third XXXday of the month, and try to teach them. Might just make you the most famous kid in school.

I live in a town where football is of major importance and if you're not "normal" you don't have friends... well im a girl with a mohawk and i wear kandi up to my elbows most days (sometimes more if i can make em fit) i love what people say about me because they think i care about their opinions.... the key is not to care.

"sonnyfan14": The Thing is Im at a private school. Everyones stuck up and Im the wierd kid that never talks so no matter what i do i dont really draw that much attention. I got about 6 inches of my hair cut off and nobody even noticed That's their loss, dear. I live in a city like that, and everyone turns their nose up to my friends and I. We weren't welcomed as strange people until we got to high school, but we go to a public high school. Best of luck to you, hun~

I got "That's a lot of bracelets" from my German teacher and my Youth and Law teacher. I got "Someone stole all my colorful eads" from a cool Art teacher. He fun, even if I don't have him for any of my art classes. I don't really get nasty comments for my kandi. I do get comments when I wear my rave gear at school. I address for raves how I would for school, its not like I go in a half shirt :/ I got a new pair of fluffies and one kid was like "Damn that girl got some hair". I stopped what I was doing and almost made the kid regret what he said :/

Most think it's cool; the negative attention/feedback I get is usually in public. I've been cussed at & screamed at, all kinds of things.
