Current Obsessions (?)

Hello there!!! I wanna hear about everybody's special interests // current obsessions or topics they know WAY too much about

I'll go first:

MCYTs // DSMP Lore- I love watching Karl's Tales of the SMP and Quackity's lore!! It's so well done, and I love how it adds to all the other lore going on in the SMP instead of ruining it. I know way too much about what has already happened and plan on stalking the wiki to find out more. It's very interesting to me! Not to mention other Minecraft challenges that are done on Tommy's channel and others, because they're always so funny!

FNaF- I have been addicted to this for years! I watch all of MatPat's videos and can't wait for the new game coming out. I'm open to hearing any theories about the series, or anything based on the characters!! I love the designs, and my favorites are Lolbit and Plushtrap.

Minecraft- This game has been a comfort to me since I could play it. I've been playing for years now since way before bunnies were added and "Original mode" was still a thing. I love this game with all my heart, and if anyone wants to play with me (I'm a great builder and good with redstone and some commands) pls let me know!!

ALRIGHT!!! Here we go!

I started watching ScareTheater’s videos on YT on Friday and I’m obsessed- I’ve been binge watching them and they’re really cool. He talks about crime stuff and internet mysteries, and it’s so interesting. His stuff can be disturbing, especially the crime videos so warning on that. My favorite subject he’s covered is the Leonard Lake tapes.

I got into stranger things in March of 2020 and it’s kind of become my whole life, kind of all I can think about. The whole show is relatable to me on some level, I can’t really explain it. The characters are so important to me and pretending they exist are kind of my coping mechanism!! The monsters and SO COOL. The amount of effort they put into the cgi is so awesome. INFO DUMP ABOUT MY FAV CHARACTER/COMFORT CHARACTER TIME!!! Mike Wheeler is my favorite character!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. He’s such a complex character and really well written, and feels like a real person!! I’m very much in love with him,, I like to pretend he’s my boyfriend LMAO- god I wish he were real.

YTTD ITS SO AMAZING I LOVE THE CHARACTERS ITS SO AMAZING AND I LOVE THE STORY AND ITS SO COOL IVE LITERALLY RANTED TO MY PARENTS FOR HOURS ABOUT THIS GAME I LOVE HOW THE CHARACTERS HAVE ACTUAL MOTIVE BEHIND WHAT THEY DO AND HOW MUCH STUFF ACTUALLY SURPRISED ME AND HOW THE SCARE/HORROR ISNT JUST JUMPSCARES (there is a lot of games that do that very well, but if it's done wrong it can get really boring and repetitive) AND HOW I ACTUALLY GOT REALLY ATTACHED TO THE CHARACTERS AND-

its very cool : )

10/10 would recommend

as someone who never liked to draw fanart when i say the only thing i draw now is the dream smp i am not lying. i'm vv into it atm !! i love the lore and specially the fandom. i know some ppl dont like the fandom but man, the artists? the fanfiction? there are alotta swag ppl here and ppl overlook it!!! the dsmp has a character for literally everyone's taste man i swear. while i can only really watch tommy's streams because those are the only thing that can hold my attention - bbh, quackity, karl's.. and of course wilbur's lore + tubbo's? so cool!!!!

and i'm also while being very late, into homestuck. may be just a bit obvious but i've latched onto dave as a comfort character and it is swag. also i may not understand the worldbuilding.. at all... it's cool!!! specially the trolls. it kinda sucks cuz i cant find much homestuck fans my age but it's alright, tis very cool!!!

i feel like ive literally posted on every "share your interests" threads about it but zero escaPE- i swear its most of what i talk about, even if just to myself. the only thing stopping me completely is the fact that the one person who's actually interesting in seeing the story play out hasnt even seen one ending of one of the three games, so i have to avoid spoiling her-

(spoilers ahead if anyone's interested/going through the games)

another of my friends made a joke about kiibo from danganronpa and the question of "would robots have boobs", so i over explained it with ABT (artificial biotic tissue) from virtue's last reward in mind, in which case its possible and, in that universe technically canon (luna, if we're to assume she has female external features, probably has fake robot boobs jhglskf) i can literally over-explain everything from the series, if i know the answers, so its fun when i get to joke about it in random conversations-

at the moment, i'm really into tokyo ghoul. i first watched it back in 2015 but my small brain didn't remember a thing, so i rewatched it. then, i fell into a hole and now i will not shut up about it (ayato supremacy)

death note is also a big one. i first watched it about a year ago and i fell in love with it almost instantly. i've rewatched it about 4-5 times and i've read a lot of the other official books. it's lowkey my safe place

i'm also big on fashion and music -- specifically techwear and dark trap. i think the dark clothing and dark themes are pretty neat (plus the screaming the music calms my hellhole of a brain)

i've been obsessed with pokemon sun and moon since it came out and i probably always will be, it was the first pokemon game i ever played so it holds a very special place in my heart. i love the characters, pokemon, and region so much!! literally every sun and moon character has been a comfort character for me at some point, but the only ones that have been consistent until now are gladion and hau. my favorite pokemon is rowlet, i became attached to it the second i saw it in the game, its so adorbs!!!!!!!!!
