i mean this in the nicest way possible, but i'm sick of 13 year olds on this website treating it like a diary or a social media. forums are not the same as social media, this is a KANDI website, not a place to vent about genuinely heavy topics (they literally have a banner saying this before you post a thread) or kin or whatever.

i know there are edge cases of people not being allowed real social media, but this is meant to be a lighthearted site to talk about a specific common interest, not how much you hate your parents or how you want a new partner.

This site wasn’t ever intended to be a forum. The “forum” section of the site was originally called Questions and was designed for people to ask questions about kandi and request patterns (back when I was still making them), but it has turned into this. At times I’ve thought about turning off the forum feature entirely, but that doesn’t seem fair since there’s a little community here now. But it’s not fit for purpose and it’s difficult to find the balance between not allowing heavy topics and not stifling people’s speech. I’ve been removing most of the things that get reported though.

I do agree that venting abt heavy topics is kinda weird on such a website, but there’s a “other discussions” section for a reason

This also is just a public website so obvi there guna be other topics discussed tho, if you dont wanna see peoples random discussions put ur forum setting to just kandi and stuff not the "other discussions" thread thing

yeah im startin to gravitate more towards other forums, they jus feel more enjoyable i havent seen many of those kinds threads here today tho so thats good at least

i agree, i love forum websites alot more than social media (less toxic, nicer people etc.) but it gets really annoying when people post random stuff like vents. also vents are such a private thing and to put it on a forum for everyone to see is just kindof weird in a sense, as usually you’d vent to others.
