I'm about to piss myself off with this but lolz- x_x BEFORE I GO TO BED >:3 What's your biggest alternative hot take? O.o Mine is that is bugs me when people are like "We have to bring the 2000s back! Rawring 20s!" yet at the same time go "Normalize not vibing to the social construct of fetishizing systematic toxic stimulationing gaslighting so you can retrieve non-problematic mental vibes" like if your going to parade "Living in the 2000s" around then drop that 2022 talk. And if you aren't... Still drop it, it's stupid and you just sound like your trying too hard to sound smart, lol

"Yellow latter laced docs, are you in the punk scene?" instead of it being like "YO ARE THOSE WHITE LADDER LACED DOCS!? @xXJustJoking8P: yeah, its bootlaces. it means something if youre in the punk / anarchist / skinhead scene. its [to some extent] regional too, but it became so vwell knowvn that cops are still educated on the big ones [red, vwhite, and blue]. ill givwe you a list of the ones im avware of. its also vworth noting that this only applies to boots that are ladder laced.

black: doesnt mean anything
vwhite: vwhite supremacist
red: neonazis
orange: straight edge
yellovw: anti-racist [or SHARP if you livwe in an area vwhere they are prominent]
green: neutral / anti-racist
blue: can mean anything from acab to cop killer. i dont recommend vwearing these in public [especially to protests and the like]
purple: lgbt
black + vwhite: racial unity / ska

I've seen people say that only alt people should drink monster which just sounds dumb cause it's just an energy drink and nothing else. If you're alt and drink monster that's cool and if you're not alt but really need that energy boost for something then go-ahead it's made to give you energy. This shouldn't even be a debate but here we are.

Mother Mother is just no. Hayloft was okay, but they made another? My sister said it adds to the "story" but I think it's a money grab.

I absolutely hate when celebrities who know nothing about alternative culture(s) and who don't really even care about it talk abt it like when mgk did what he did, and other celebs who dress "punk" when really they don't know shit, also can alternative people have anything without it becoming a "trend" or being taken by rich ppl who have never done research on anything ever... or when alternative culture gets ripped and changed into something it's not like when ppl were saying Olivia Rodriguez is riot grrrl... littlerally no... sorry for the ramble

It's just that me and a friend have a punk OC (Well, I'd hardly classify him as more than just dressing the part cause his form of anarchy isn't organized like punk's is, it's just "I can do whatever I want, lol"-) and I feel like a massive hypocrite misrepresenting other's subcultures it's just that this is kinda... Stressful to understand for me- X'DD I'm stupid, I know-

@TheBeadWiz: I've only listened to two of their songs, Hayloft and Body, I've never heard another one of their songs but I remember a friend of mine used to REALLY like them... Although I thought Mother Mother was just indie rock? (I've always seen indie (At least what it's like right now) as more so an aesthetic rather than a straight up alternative, but idk I'm not too familiar with the style)

@Z0mbie_gh0st: Legiiiit, I almost prefer the 2000s when everyone was repulsed by us instead of them trying to make Sparkplug Entertainment esc. bootlegs XDD What I see a lot that bothers me is when like an e girl or some cosplayer on TikTok makes a "Making scene/emo hair! <33" TikTok with 1000000 rawring 20s hashtags and then like never talks about scene or emo again like- Normally I wouldn't care but the fact that they made those TikToks when rawring 20s was trending just gives me the feel that they only did it for views which is just annoying to me. PLEASE don't dress alternatively just because it's popular, become a part of a subculture because you actually enjoy it. Or don't, maybe you don't enjoy any subcultures and that's ok- You don't have to be "quirky"-
