@raygunrampage: ngl, the monster energy drink "aesthetic" is overused. So are mushrooms but don't get me wrong, I still like them regardless

anything that culturally appropriates people and cultures and is generally racist covering it up with an "aesthetic" (eg. "koreacore", when you use makeup to make yourself appear asian)shock

"lolita" (ita)
now don't get me wrong, i LOVE actual lolita, but i hate when stores like hot topic sell dresses and such as "lolita" with seemingly no research put into the style. It especially rubs me the wrong way when brands sexualize the style.

(talking about japanese lolita, NOT the styles or culture born from the lolita novel)

kidcore and traumacore.

theres nothing really wrong with kidcore itself but its annoying as hell when i see someone dressed in decora kei and someone calls it kidcore.

traumacore is just htnbghtjh i cant explain exactly why i hate it but i do?? it just makes me remember stuff i dont want to think about every time i see something traumacore.

scenecore. from my experience, a lot of the people who use it end up being really toxic. plus, it kinda feels like an appropriation (idk if thats the correct term, im sorry if i am using it wrong.) of classic scene culture, dumbing it down to just bright colors, sparkledogs, and l33tspeak to pander to tiktok kids.
