yes 100% pronouns do not equal gender in any way. You can identifty as male and go by he/they, you can identify as male and go by she/her, it doesnt matter youre still whst you identiofty as

Remember that pronouns do NOT equal gender!! You can use whatever pronouns you want and still be enby, the two things are separate and do not have to depend on eachother.

@lawfullydead: I'm sorry but none of you are understanding my point, I'm not saying gender is a black and white thing, but yes people do use communities, I'm not saying everyone or the creator of this thread, but people do, if I don't know person A only uses he/him pronouns he are a boy, a "boy" is someone that could he male or female but goes by he/him pronouns, but if person B goes by more than he/him pronouns they are under the category of non-binary, I don't see what's confusing you guys about that, it's simple as hell, and if person C only goes by he/him pronouns but is trying to force himself into a community he doesn't belong in it's very damaging to many people, getting hooked on fitting in and/or feeling special is terrible for your mental health, when you obsess and worry about having all these different labels that don't apply to you you're going to lose yourself, you're going to be insecure, and you will slowly destroy yourself, while also giving that community a bad name, but if you just calm down and figure yourself out and where you actually belong it'll lead you down the right path, you don't have to make everything so fucking complicated, it can be simple, hell it only has to be black, white, and gray, you don't have to throw in all the colors of the damn rainbow, black could be boy, white could be girl, and grey could be everything under "non-binary" and yeah no shit people are complex, I watch and observe people all the time, I'm better at reading and understanding people than 99% of others that I know, and that's how I know this shit is damaging, someone that's not non-binary trying to say they are is absolutely no different than someone that's gay trying to say they're straight, the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, it's black, white, and grey, you can't get red from mixing a little white and black

@Daydreamer: You're being very presumptuous by saying someone is "using a community", and telling someone that their pronoun usage is harming a community is simply untrue. Pronoun usage and gender identity in the queer community has never been black and white like you're suggesting. Reinforcing the gender binary by policing people's pronouns is really uncool. I hope you can learn to understand that labels are far less important than an individual person's identity. People are far too complex to pigeonhole. People can and should use the pronouns they are comfortable with.

yes, pronouns ≠ gender

If the character I used doesn’t show up, it’s =/=

@K4V1TY_: yes non-binary is a large umbrella term, but as I keep saying if you use he/him or she/her and nothing else you are a boy or girl, even if you're trans, using a community that you don't belong in just to "fit in" or feel special is damaging to you and the community, everyone takes time to figure out where they belong and what makes them happy but forcing yourself isn't going to do either of those, it'll only do the opposite, while also giving that community a bad name, it might "make you comfortable" now but it won't in the future, your pronouns do equal your gender and they always will, if you strictly go by he/him you are a boy even if your sex is female, and you are not non-binary unless you go by other pronouns too, like he/they, she/they, or he/she/they

And really? If you're sorry because "I wasn't considering what I said" maybe you shouldn't have replied? That was just very petty and unnecessary, to me it seems you're the one not really trying to understand what I'm saying anyway

yea!! pronouns dont always equal gender!! cheer

@Daydreamer: (having friends in different communities doesn't mean u necessarily know all there is about the community and it's members, even if those friends have told u about their own experiences. a community has more than just ur friend/s in it, meaning there's other people who have had different experiences/opinions.)

Non-binary is a pretty big umbrella term!! Meaning it's gonna b pretty hard to force it way into it lol /gen. Yes, the majority of people who use binary pronouns (he/him and she/her) would not b considered non-binary, but not everybody!!! People use what pronouns they're comfortable with and use terms for their gender/s that they feel fit. /nm

Sry for arguing in the comments!! Ive said my opinion on it and it's not worth arguing more if this guy isn't gonna consider what I've said,,,,

@Saplingsys: no it's on me, I word things really weird on the time and have a hard time getting my point across, to me even if you use one pair more than others you're still non-binary, but I've seen a lot of people that only go by he/him or she/her calling themselves non-binary and the biggest reason I don't like it is yes it can be rude but it's damaging to themselves and the communities name and same goes for all those people saying they're a boy but lesbian? Anyway, I'm glad I was able to explain more, if anyone sounded rude it was probably me I just woke up sick and tired as hell kao smile
