What happened to PLUR?

I'm just speaking from personal experience. But I have some ex-friends irl who are ravers and when they found out that I make kandi but I'm a non-raver they started treating me badly because of it. I understand the meaning of kandi, I live my life by PLUR, I don't claim to know everything. The only difference between me and them is that because of my current circumstances I can't afford the $500 and 10 hours of travel it will take for me to get to raves. I'm going to move away soon and I will start raving when I do, I just can't right now. I'm just curious as to why some (NOT ALL) ravers look down on non-ravers who make kandi. It never ceases to confuse me.

and really kandi has been around forever, even b4 raves. it was bead craft. but to me kandi is a rave thing. outside of that its epic crafts and freindship beads. plur and kandi were 2 dif things back in the day. and i doubt many ppl know the origin of plur or the origin of trading kandi. if u did u might understand y "kandi" is more of a rave thing lol

people are dumb. haha that's all i can tell you. just keep plur alive and be sure to be honest with people if they ask whether or not you've been to a rave before because personally, i don't mind if non-ravers make kandi until they start lying about whether or not they go to raves.
