is a foam party considered a rave?

I might be going to a foam party next week, and i'd like to count it as my first rave, but I have no idea what makes a rave a rave. If it has electronic music, lights, lasers, and possibly a few kandi kids (the few we have out here) is it a rave? Some of my friends say yes, some say no. I'm so cunfuzzled. somebody plz help me

I think if it has edm playing its a rave lol. I mean ive gone to foam parties that were raves so it just depends what kinda event it is. But like danibear said, who cares ITS A PARTY !;D

Unless 5,000 people are going I wouldn't call it a rave. If that wasn't a major part of a rave I could say I've been going to raves in my bathroom since I was ten haha. Who cares though it's still a party?
