selling kandi?

i know what the title says but hear me out i am in a very specific situation.

me and my cousin are doing a trade between a cuff and a set of earings, they own an earing buisness but ive never sold anything. To make sure that our exchange was off equal value i priced out my beads according to the amount needed for the cuff they want me to make. we are going to have no money involved, the pattern we are using for the cuff is not one of my own but we are not using any actual money. My question is; is there a more acurate way to price out beads if the ones you are using are older and dont have a listing with specific bead details anywhere? ( i know the prices for them because they are sold at walmart but the walmart website does not have any product info beyond dimensions and shipping details.

i also have another question. Is it alright to sell kandi for money if you own the pattern? ive heard its frowned upon but i have heard any actual things on the subject. ive bought pony bead jewelry but it wasnt marked as kandi and i dont think the creator intended it as such ( i bought it at a con a while ago so im going off of memory, in that situation i was very very nervous so i probably dont remember some stuff).

any answers apreciated 513b55c6de216_kao_happy.gif51485f23c3729_lil-rainbow.gif

i sell kandi (or plan to at least as the fair im selling it at is in a few days) and basically end up with prices of about $2-3 an hour spent on something depending on the detail of it. its better to do it that way then by a bead by bead basis because beads are so cheap. -phil

I personally don't think selling kandi is bad as long as you have plur in mind, however selling things like stars by themselves doesn't make any sense to me unless someone specifically asks yk? Selling things like Earrings and more complex stuff is better imo. And as far as pricing goes I recommend pricing them by time and a rough estimate should be fine. And if you own/made the pattern I don't see anything wrong with it, and if you do use someone else's pattern be sure to ask permission first. Hope this helped lolol
