DID issues

so a little bit of background: i'm a DID system (not OSDD), i was diagnosed in 2011 and i have been trying to manage it since then. i havent been to treatment in a few years so its been a little bit harder to manage as of recently because i have little to no internal communication (mostly through mentalese when co-fronting, not much otherwise) and a very weak inner world. ive had this problem for two or so years where people in my life will come into contact with alters who i didnt know existed who are very distraught/panic-attack-y when fronting and dont respond well to talking to them (i assume just based on fear of strangers/being in new places) this didn't happen before i moved out 3 years ago so im assuming they are just always afraid that they are in danger. what advice could i give the people i live with for dealing with this/calming them down when they pop up? its really stressful for my boyfriend (who i live with) because he isnt very well equipped to deal with the situation. thanks ^_^

please dont respond to this if you identify as endogenic or non-trauma, non systems can give advice but im mainly looking for answers from systems.

We are an OSDD system hoping to get diagnosed soon but the only one who truly panics is Moon. The only thing that calms her down is avoiding whats making her panic or jayce or i switching. (which happens mainly out of stress) I would suggest going back to treatment if you can. Since we are kind of still figuring out everything we have been having a bit of trouble figuring out how to communicate. But if one of us panics its usually out of stress which triggers a switch so we haven't had that much trouble. I'm not that much help but deep breaths are definitely something to do. -Travis

@squeee: yeah i realize i need to see a doctor but unfortunately after moving out its been hard to get insurance and resume treatment. i just thought maybe there might be some systems on here who dealt with these same issues as i see DID threads on here almost every day sad thank you though

I'm not a system, but here's my shred of advice. i'm assuming you've already spoken to the people you live with/are close to about it, and i think a good thing to do would be to formulate a routine for those who you live with, like giving your alter some water and sitting down and trying to calm them. I'm sorry, i don't have much help to offer. if i'm being completely honest, i don't think this the right place to go for this sort of question, i'm sure a doctor would be able to help you out more than anyone on here thumbsupnyankotwirlingheart
