I keep seeing patterns for 'pride flags' like mario gender, clown gender and others. Usually these are just fake gender identities that try to make a mockery of the LGBTQ+ community, but I'm seeing people voting to approve them!

Are these real?? I never wanna invalidate someone, but these sorts of 'identities' feel like trolls taking advantage of people like me who will accept people for what they identify as.

i seen those clown gender and mario gender ones but what about the "endergender' with the minecraft enderman colors so is that a fake gender? i dont know much about lbgtq+

@r0tten_bugz_04: thank you so much - I was worried that there was going to be something bad happening and as irrational as it was I wanted to say something just to make sure. I'm so sorry if I made you scared to comment that was never my intention I'm really glad you said something to me it maes me feel way better about the irrational worries

And you're totally right the flag designs are poggers. Plus gender is a social construct anyway, you are valid (just wanna make sure you know that)

hi so I'm not a troll.. I genuinely identify as most of the identities I've posted. for the others, I just really loved the flag designs, so it's possible that those were created as satire- I privated some of the patterns I was unsure about. I was a little scared to comment but you seemed upset and I don't want to be the reason why anyone is upset.

It’s a valid concern to have. The thing with the internet is that sometimes things start as jokes but then people start to believe in them or identify as them for real. Someone on here said they legitimately identify with something that was originally created as a joke.

As far as I can tell, the user who created those is part of the LGBTQ+ community, so I’m not sure they’re trolling. But I doubt those particular patterns will be approved anyway, looking at the number of votes. If anything like this gets approved but people find it harmful, I would remove it. I just don’t want to be too heavy handed with the mod tools.

hey! i saw the mario gender and clown gender. i think those are trolls but for stuff like pugender i think is reffering to the neopronoun pup/pupself. i see those as valid. but yeah some of them are kinda dumb :/
