one of my fandoms (polygoons) is lost media and pretty much everyone in the fandom is on instagram. also the latest posts i can find are from nearly a year ago too crying

i dont usually draw fanart for most of my fandoms but there is so little fan content that i've been drawing almost only polygoons fanart for a few days kao cry

moral of the story, dont join fandoms that are literally lost media cry

recently ive only been getting into fandoms that like a few weeks after i join get a major update and come back 2 life (good omens, camp here and there etc)

Honestly as much as it hurts to not have much new content from your fandom I feel like “dead” fandoms are in some way better. You get all the best picks from when it was popular, and you don’t have to deal with a lot of the drama from people that are just jumping on the bandwagon. The ones that stay after initial hype are the real ones imo
