Giant pegboards suck? Maybe just mine. ):

So this is only the second time I use my giant pegboard. Does anyone else experience problems with it? After only using it once it bent and now it's difficult to make anything on it because the perler beads just spring up while you iron it. I have to make sure to place things on the edges of my pegboard to keep it flat. :c Now I'm wondering is it just me or should I buy a new one? S:

I've had the same problem. Part of mine melted the first time I used it. It's frustrating.

its most likely because your iron is to hot and it was on the beg board for to long my pegboard did the same thing

I LOVE my giant pegboard but don't ever iron your perlers while they are still on the board! Any pegboards can warp when you iron on them, so use the taping method! happy

Thanks so much. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has experienced this. It truely blows tht the giant one doesn't work it would've made things so much easier. But thanks I'll be sure to buy many smaller ones next time! big grin Haha now I don't feel so alone but still feel silly that I didn't know about this issue. (:

It's definitely not just yours that has this problem. I have heard this complaint a LOT. You are better off getting the smaller but still quite large pegboards which connect together to form a larger one. I think there are ways you can minimize how much the giant pegboards warp, but I'm not sure what they are and it seems silly to do when you can just get the connecting ones. I wouldn't recommend buying a new giant pegboard because it will have the same problem.
