When do you bring your best kandi to edc?

I know it's still a ways away, but I'm trying to figure out when everyone brings their best kandi to edc so that i don't trade/give away (I give away most of my cuffs especially) my better pieces before I get the chance to trade with someone who will really appreciate them. Not to mention the fact that I'm going to 3 other shows before edc, so I'm really trying to figure out what to make/how much of it to make. Any suggestions?

oh, and at my first rave i wasn't given any kandi, but absolutely fell in love with the lifestyle, which is why i try to make it a point to give pieces to people who appear interested, or seem to really like a particular piece

Oh I definitely realize how much people appreciate it.... I'm that guy that shows up with necklaces, and arms full of kandi (singles/cuffs/3d.. whatever) and leaves with like 6-7 singles from trades. and I still have every piece that was traded to me, i would never re-trade a piece... though i have taken some apart because i needed the colours lol. I'm going to edclv tongue can't wait! my first American rave lol, i've only raged here in toronto, and only ever started making kandi recently, so they have always been one night shows... which is why I've been trying to figure out when I want to bring what lol. the way I see it, I can always make more, regardless of how long it took me to make the first one. i have friends that struggle making singles lol

I don't think you understand how much getting kandi means to some people, especially people who are at the fringes of the community. At my first rave, I had absolutely nothing to give but still got a particularly nice piece. It means the world to me... but so do all of the other pieces I got. They serve as reminders of the bonds that were made and the beginning of beautiful relationships. If you want to give kandi to people who will really appreciate it, just get to know them. Wouldn't it suck if you met the bombest person ever and had only your worst pieces to give? Every single piece you make is special and represents an investment of time, energy, and love. Give freely and with an open heart. Maybe consider bringing equal amounts of your best work and your basic pieces every day and use discretion when you're giving them out.
