can you use glowsticks for a kandi necklace?

would it be safe to use glowsticks for kandi or would it be dangerous? like would they split/break open? I wouldn't want any dead glowing chemicals to spill everywhere. I know that the glowstick bracelets wouldn't be safe to use as they can break open easily, especially when they're dead.

well these glowsticks are already dead. so I don't think i'd really mess with them any.

well, theoretically, the kandi would help prevent the glow stick from breaking, depending on how many beads you use obviously... unless you bend it way too much... same with the bracelets. the only issue i see with this, is that you would have to prep/crack the glow sticks before you get into the show, and they only last so long.... but I have considered this too, would be a great idea! best of luck

SORRY LONG POST COMIN UP: The thing about putting glowsticks on kandi is that glowsticks are only good once. If you do want to use an actual glowstick, don't string it on with the rest of the pony beads, just make the necklace and tie on the glowstick with extra string so you could swap it out later. Glowsticks aren't extremely dangerous if you break one open, but the chemicals inside can cause a rash on your skin and there might be little sharp bits of plastic from the inner tube that gets broken when you activate the stick. If you think you might accidentally break the glowstick, maybe you could find a cheap light-up toy and string that on instead so you could wear it over and over! I've seen flashlights that look like glowsticks, try looking at dollar stores or any other place that would carry a flashlight (home improvement stores might be worth a shot.)

If you know how to properly put them on kandi then yea, there are glow sticks that have a hole already for necklaces, so yes.
