New Vocaloid fans rant

Why are so many of them insistent on some stuff?513b55c740178_kao_sick.gif

Like they are most of the time only Pjsekai fans and know nothing about the vocaloids and refuse to learn about them, and then try and act like they know everything about it. Like "Oh Miku is 16 so you can't give her that outfit/She can't sing that song!", yes but no?? The mascot's ages can be changed and seen as whatever u want (except the ones depicted as kids and voiced by them, ex: Kaii Yuki and Gachapoid), that's why so many ppl have their own designs/interpretations or give the characters the personality they want.

There is really no such thing as OOC for the vocaloids.513b55c730f5c_kao_no.gif

this is a widespread fandom issue i see a lot, actually, where people decide their headcanons are real, word of god canon and therefore anyone deviating is evil or an idiot etc. this has always existed but vocaloid people used to live and let live and now theyre always angry about someone doing it "wrong" when there is no wrong, theyre literally voice synthesizers and they can be whatever you want. i mean come on, namine ritsu is a 9 year old boy with missiles on his chest according to his creator but how often does anyone actually treat him that way or care?

i think the upshot is that the solution is to like obscure producers and vocaloids. yuzuki yukari for LIFE kao mad

no you're right because project sekai's release really did reset some things that the fandom beforehand stopped caring about or already came to an agreement on (like the whole age discourse thing) sick
