safe foods/simple recipes

Im goin to college this year!! ill have to make my own meals every day, so I'm trying to compile a small book of things I can do that are not super expensive, relatively simple, and wont take a long time

anyone have specific recipes or store bought stuff to recommend? I'm kinda picky and not great at cooking so id like to have a list of things made in advance I can make without struggling 513b55c71219e_kao_cry.gif maybe ill group them based on the time it takes and difficulty? we shall see513b55c726e46_kao_cool.gif

some stuff to consider:

-I will have a kitchen in my "apartment" including a fridge/oven/stove/microwave/ect that I can use basically whenever I want
-I don't like mushy textured things like mashed potatoes, but im pretty open on flavors including spicy/bitter/ect stuff
-I also want to avoid cooking with most meats like chicken cause the texture of them raw grosses me out, tho some things like ground beef or sausage are ok. I am usually ok with eating already cooked ones tho 513b55c6de216_kao_happy.gif

also, does anyone have experience with making meals ahead of time/meal prep? if so, do you recommend? (how far in advance do you plan, what foods work/dont work, etc)

-Cheese and tortillas can go a long way

Roll it like a burrito and microwave it, grill a quesadilla, eat it like it is

You can also put whatever meat rice or whatever other things you want

-Beans and rice is one of my favorite things

I usually buy a prepackaged box but it can easily be made as all you need to do is boil some water and add seasoning (and meat if you’d like)

-Spaghetti is typically cheap and can last a while along with other pasta foods

-Spam

It is so good and you can do a lot with it. Scrambled eggs, musubi, burgers, a ton of good stuff

(I can probably add more later when I go to cook lmao XD

Swedish meatballs! all though its a crock-pot meal it makes alottt rainbowsmile

jarred alfredo w/ frozen brocolli and chicken(they have pre-cooked packaged chicken at like shaws or a market basket) and pasta(one of my favsss

spam! ik it sounds gross but if u cook it in olive oil and parsley it makes for a good protein! and add rice
