question about a craft im making!

im starting to make this prop axe from a show i like, and its supposed to have these vines wrapped around it. i'd like the vines to be flexible and to not hold their shape, so i cant make them out of clay, wire, or any solid material like that. i also considered yarn, but because of the visible individual fibers in the material, it wont look very vine-like. do any of you have any ideas for what material i could make the vines out of that doesnt look fuzzy and is relatively smooth?

thanks! 514c877238924_rainbowsmile.gif

you could try using a fake leaf garland? you could cut it to size and it can still look somewhat realistic
