jhdjhadfsjksdfajk im getting a new phone soon and im rlly stressed out about it cuz you have to transfer all the data and ill go insane if it isnt a 1/1 copy (spoiler alert: it wont be) cuz smartswitch only copies the base apps, photos and contacts NOT the actual app data itself which means ill lose so much stuff : ((( I have looked online if theres any way to transfer the app data but its all extremely complicated and i dont want to risk messing up the phones so idk what to do GRAHHHH if you guys have any advice it'd be appreiciated i have a samsung phone

Recently swapped out my old busted galaxy s9 for a shiny new s23. My dad sprung it on me out of nowhere (so i know the stress)

I was really freaked out because its also important to me - make sure you ask for help in the store (I was at the samsung store personally) and one of their employees helped me transfer pretty much everything, even my shitty notes app rants were moved over (...not that he saw those) OK nvm i just saw youre not worried with that hehe

For apps like that, I recommend seeing if you can make an account by linking to your email or a facebook account to carry over your progress... i definitely did that for love nikki back in the day lolol. Don't fret too much, all my shit is seriously a 1/1 copy to better hardware and im so happy for it

@dont_ask_jeeves: i really need transfer my ibispaint files but this can apparently be done with an sd card easily which is nice cuz i have a big one, and i need to transfer my steam guard which hopefully wont be too difficult

yeah i hate that :/ i love getting new phones but it is very stressful to me.

okay so some advice: for your pictures, get an sd card, or upload them to a cloud like mega (don't use google drive or google photos if you have a lot bc they only give you like 15 gb free i think)

also if you don't mind me asking what app specifically are you wanting to transfer to your new phone? a lot of things let you save your data via some sort of login system.
