Not sure if its dying or if it always has been small but I feel like nobody’s really active on here also its so much discourse now /nm

I haven't been actually active in like a year and a half but after a really quick scan the forums seem less active , also venting on forums is back, unexpected cause I remember when that got banned also THERES DISCOURSE AGAIN?? please no

I’m not seeing anything alarming traffic wise. Just normal fluctuations. Only a tiny fraction of visitors use the forums, and it has always been that way. It has been much busier on here in certain previous years, but that’s normal too; the popularity of kandi changes over time.

I am currently working on some urgent fixes to keep this version of the site online and functional, and then I will be moving onto creating the next version, likely taking out a loan to fund some development work because it will be too much to do on my own, especially with how limited my time is. I can’t promise it will be online forever, but my goal is to keep the patterns online in a read only state even if I can’t have it as a fully interactive site anymore at some point

i've only just joined so i have no point of comparison but i don't think it seems like it's dying at all! in fact i was amazed at how active the site seems. people are posting new patterns and pictures and threads every day! go to any other niche hobby site and you'll see topics on the front page of the forums that haven't been responded to in over a year. i'm sure it's not as active as the heyday of these kinds of websites, but considering it's 2023 and the vast majority of people solely use the same few social media sites, i'm really impressed by how alive this site feels.

Everyone's saying it has to do with summer but I actually return to this site during summers. To some people, their interest in kandi comes in waves and it depends on when they find time.
