feeling childish for my interests :[

does anyone else have interests that you feel ashamed for or embarrassed about because other people treat them as childish or silly? im really interested in sharks, fortnite, and overwatch, but im often laughed at for these interests because people either think im joking when i say I like them or they think its silly :[

ive had a very intense hyperfixation on mlp for years now (it could just be a special interest but i dont really know) and it always got treated weirdly by other people? no one outwardly said it was childish but they were being weird about it.

the weirdest thing about is people were weird about it even when i was in the age range for it?? i dont feel bad about liking it but i do get annoyed by how weird people act because of it.

my advice is that every time someone judges you become MORE interested in the thing!! BECOME MORE POWERFUL!!! you will become undefeatable. /hj

I'm a grown up.

I love sesame street. Obsessed with the lore behind kids shows. Sharks are super cool! My best friend still watches MLP and shows we watched as kids.

I collect opossum stuffed animals.

i feel that way sometimes too. i'm interested in mlp and when i told one of my friends they laughed at me kids also make fun of my mlp stickers on my computer.

but don't listen to them!! like what you wanna like!!
