i wanna make traditional moon cakes sometime but im not sure if im gonna find the energy before fall ends esp considering id have to buy a bunch of specific ingredients for it. someday.

on the topic of more traditional recipes, lots of scandinavian deserts are fairly simple and easy to make imo. as a scandinavian. my favorite being almond cake, because it's literally just milk, eggs, flour, sugar, butter, and almond extract! and you just mix that shit together and bake it. delicious and low spoons! honey cakes are also rlly good.

i keep editing this comment to add more shit to it im sorry- i don't knowww if this counts as baking but korean milk rice cakes are sooooo good. im pretty sure i royally fucked up the recipe the first time i made it but it was still delicious and i still randomly get intense cravings for it. they're ESPECIALLY good with cinnamon, if you try it.
