is someone going around disliking all my comments? it might just be my paranoia jumping to conclusions but almost all comments ive made almost immediately get a dislike. it's not an issue it's just a little weird and a little funny lmao

Sorry, you are unable to reply. If the thread is still open, you might have been blocked from commenting due to spam or abuse, or we might not have been able to verify that you are a real account. Try updating your profile and interacting more on the site. There are greater restrictions on forum comments due to spam. Spam comments will still not be published, even for verified accounts

I have stopped blocked users from seeing the reply and vote buttons on comments. I also removed the thread comment box for blocked users, but I'm not sure about that part. Maybe it's fair? If you have someone blocked, you presumably don't want them interacting with you. I might undo the comment box part if it confuses people. There are ways around all of these security measures but at least it will be a bit harder now.

I'm wondering if I should block comments and/or threads from people who are blocked. I've asked that in the past but can't remember what we decided. That's not to say that it would help in this particular situation, but normally repeated dislikes come from people who have each other blocked.

Honestly, I think people would just make a new account to get around it.

Yes, someone is. People sometimes use the dislike button in that way. Don't worry about dislikes, unless maybe you get tons of them and no likes. Then it might be time to question if you've said something you shouldn't have but even then you could still be fine. People are allowed to disagree with each other.
