EDIT TO ADD: I need to put a disclaimer- This is a h-h-h-hOT TAKE- Pillsbury Doughboy hot- Fresh out the oven hot- Hot Pocket hot- Read at your own risk-
(This is my personal opinion and take on the situation, some parts are slightly exaggerated or have biased language.)
It depends what your asking since nowadays there's no set definition- It used to be a culture on the internet where people would harass those they deemed as "cringey", sometimes sending whole mobs after them. It eventually died out due to people just slowly not caring anymore but nowadays it's paraded on TikTok as "When you personally see something as cringey" and DAS BAD apparently- Because of this, some of the people who claim "cringe culture is dead" do the exact same thing the starters of cringe culture did by harassing people who call something cringey insisting it's justified cause "Well- Cringe culture bad!"

As a scene kid, my personal opinion is: Yes, do not harass people for their interests, that's just mean and dumb as hecc, but you are allowed to see things as cringey as long as you aren't harassing others and are expressing your opinions on it on your own platform. If your so mad someone made a "Scene kids are cringe" video then don't click on it, does the mere existence of a differing opinion just piss you off or?- wacko

TL;DR: The definition started off as "Harassing and sending hate mobs towards people you deem as weird or "cringe"" but now the defintions kinda muddied but the most common accepted definition on TikTok/Twitter/Instagram is "When someone finds your interest weird AND DAS BAD- NO ONE ALLOWED TO NOT LIEK INTEWEST-"
