I’m not really sure how to explain but for most patterns on here the rows r numbered. for the “1” row, you’d just do a normal single and then when it gets to the 2 row, you would put on the first bead and then string it through the next 1 bead. This puts the first row 2 bead in place, then you would continue this pattern, put on the next row 2 bead and then string through the next row 1 bead. This continues as you go up the rows, when u get to row 3, you string through row 2, and so on. Idk if this made any sense but I hope it helped.
