I couldn't tell you just based on your gender... it depends how big your bicep is. 46 beads with normal pony beads = 10.86" around. if you don't have a tape measure you could always take a piece of 8.5x11 paper and wrap it around your bicep lengthways to see if it's a decent amount bigger. if it is, 46 would probably be okay. or I'm sure there are printable rulers if you google =p maybe I should have one available on here actually
